As one of Lankeleisi's best-selling models, the X3000Max has always been a favourite among riders for its powerful powertrain and rugged design. We have consistently listened to customer feedback and continuously upgraded and optimised our e-bikes. In 2025, based on real rider feedback, Lankeleisi implemented significant upgrades to several components, enhancing the safety and durability of the X3000Max dual-motor e-bike. Here is an overview of the key upgrades:
1. Hydraulic Brake System Upgrade
Identifying the Issue
In 2024, we collected user feedback regarding ride performance and discovered frequent reports of hydraulic brake oil leakage. After detailed analysis with our technical team, we identified a sealing issue in one of the components of the DYISLAND de-energized hydraulic brakes, which was the root cause of the leakage.
Upgrade Solution
We upgraded the hydraulic brake system to ZOOM G202 four-piston hydraulic brakes. This upgrade not only eliminates the oil leakage issue but also improves braking responsiveness and overall safety. Riders can now experience precise, sensitive, and quick braking performance, even during high-speed rides or emergency situations.
2. Rear Suspension Upgrade: From Hydraulic Spring to Air Suspension
Identifying the Issue
The original hydraulic spring rear suspension was reported by riders to perform poorly on bumpy roads. It could not effectively absorb shocks, causing the rear suspension to hit the frame and increasing the risk of frame fractures. This posed a significant safety hazard, particularly for heavier riders.
Upgrade Solution
To address this, we replaced the hydraulic spring rear suspension with an air suspension system. This new system allows riders to adjust the air pressure by inflating or deflating according to their weight and riding preferences, providing a more comfortable and customizable riding experience.
How to Adjust the Air Suspension
If the damping effect of the rear suspension weakens, riders can use an air pump with a pressure gauge to inflate it. The recommended air pressure range for the X3000Max air suspension is 100 PSI to 250 PSI, with a default setting of 150 PSI. If the pressure falls below 100 PSI, it should be refilled. Detailed instructions are available in a video tutorial provided by our technical team.

Weight (lbs) | Main Air Chamber (psi) |
---|---|
140 | 110 |
160 | 130 |
180 | 150 |
200 | 170 |
220 | 190 |
3. Motor Junction Port Upgrade
The connection between the front and rear motor wires and the controller has been improved. The original plug-type connector has been replaced with a threaded plug, which prevents overheating and melting of the motor connectors. Additionally, the front controller cable has been upgraded from a standard cable to a metal telescopic spring cable, which effectively prevents damage caused by downward pressure on the fork.
Conclusion
The X3000Max currently available for purchase already includes all these upgrades. At Lankeleisi, we remain committed to listening to user feedback and continuously improving our e-bikes to deliver a safer, more comfortable riding experience.
